Ingredients:

• 3 tbsp oil

• 460g beef mince

• 1 onion, diced

• 1 tbsp breadcrumbs

• Salt, to taste

• 1 tsp pepper

• 1/2 tbsp garlic powder

• 1/2 tbsp onion powder

• 1 tsp oregano

• 1 jalapeño, finely chopped

• 100g grated cheddar cheese

  • Mozzarella cheese slices

• 40g butter

• 1/2 tbsp ketchup

• 1/2 tbsp mayo

• 18 slider buns

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Onion and Mince:

Heat 3 tbsp of oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the diced onion and cook until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.

2. Cook the Beef and Spices:

Once the onions are golden, add the beef mince to the pan. Break it apart with a spoon and cook until browned. Add the chopped jalapeño, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and oregano. Stir everything together, ensuring the spices coat the meat well. Cook for another 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

3. Melt the Cheese and Add Sauces:

Once the beef mixture is cooked, lower the heat and stir in the grated mozzarella cheese until it’s melted and gooey. Add the ketchup and mayo to the mixture, combining it all into a rich, flavorful filling.

4. Assemble the Sliders:

Preheat your oven to 150°C (300°F). Begin assembling the sliders by spreading a little spicy mayo on the bottom of each slider bun. Then, layer on a slice of cheese, followed by a generous portion of the beef mixture. Top with more cheese for an extra cheesy bite.

5. Finish with Garlic Butter:

Spread a bit of garlic butter on the top of each slider bun lid. Place the slider lids on top of the assembled buns and brush a bit more garlic butter on top for a flavorful finish.

6. Bake to Perfection:

Arrange the sliders on a baking tray and bake at 150°C (300°F) for about 10 minutes, or until the buns are golden brown and the cheese is fully melted.

7. Serve and Enjoy:

Once the sliders are done, remove them from the oven and serve hot. These spicy, cheesy sliders are perfect for any occasion!

Tips:

• If you prefer less heat, remove the seeds from the jalapeño before chopping it.

• You can use any cheese you like, but cheddar and mozzarella gives it that classic, creamy melt.

• For an extra touch, top the sliders with a few more jalapeño slices before baking.

These Chilli Cheese Sliders are guaranteed to be a favourite for everyone who loves a good balance of spice, cheese, and tender beef. With the buttery garlic finish and the creamy mayo sauce, each bite will be a delightful treat. Enjoy!
